On Saturday, January 6, the Texas Baptist Men are hosting a training event for anyone interested in serving with future disaster relief efforts in the state of Texas. The Yellow Cap Training is from 9:00am-12:00pm followed by lunch and Servsafe Training is 1:00-400pm. If you would like to attend this event, follow the registration links below.
Anyone who wants to be a part of disaster relief ministry must first have Yellow Cap (YC) training. For those who desire to serve with the Mobile Global trailer, you must have ServSafe Training.
- Yellow Camp Training – This training is required for anyone who wants to serve through the Souther Baptist Convention (SBC) disaster relief ministry. This training will give you information on the organization of disaster relief as well as practical training on disaster relief work. After this training you will have the credentials to then sign up for 18 different disaster relief teams (i.e. chainsaw crew, mud out team, shower/laundry unit, coffee trailer)
- ServSafe Training – This class will give practical training on how to safely serve the public in a disaster relief setting. It will cover proper handling of food, safe temperature storage, serving food and drinks, and much more.
